Freshmen "A" Coach Michael Larson

  Entering his third year with the Rosemount Baseball Program is Freshmen “A” Squad Head Coach Michael Larson.  Coach Larson coached the 9B Irish in 2007.

  For the past 13 years, Larson has taught Language Arts at Rosemount Middle School.  During that time, Coach Larson also coached Football, Soccer, and Boys’ Basketball at Rosemount Middle School.  Prior to his assignment as baseball coach at Rosemount High School, Larson coached (11) years at the 7^th & 8^th grade levels at Rosemount Middle School. Coach Larson is also a member of the Rosemount Area Athletic Association (RAAA) Baseball Board. 

  A native of Minneapolis, Minnesota, Larson graduated from Minneapolis Southwest High School.  Larson was an All-Conference Athlete in Track in 1981 in the Quarter Mile.  He was also a member of the 1981 State Cross Country Championship team at Minneapolis Southwest High School.

  Larson holds a Bachelor of Arts in English from the University of Minnesota-Twin Cities, a Bachelor of Arts in Education from Augsburg College in Minneapolis, and both a Masters in Education and an Administration Licensure from St. Mary’s University of Minnesota.

  Larson currently resides in Rosemount with his wife Colleen, daughter Marissa and sons Phillip and Colin.
