Junior Varsity Volunteer Coach Steve Lufkin

  Junior Varsity Volunteer Assistant Coach Steve Lufkin joins the Irish baseball program from Henry Sibley High School, where he has coached at all different levels in Baseball, Basketball and Football and currently teaches Mathematics. This past year he coached the wide receivers for the Irish sophomore football team.

  Coach Lufkin, a graduate of Richfield High school, was a three sport athlete in Football, Basketball and Baseball.

  From there he attended Gustavus Adolphus College in St. Peter Minnesota where he earned his BA in Mathematics and a Secondary Education License. While at Gustavus, Lufkin played four years of collegiate baseball and was captain of the Gustie baseball team for two years. He was also selected to travel with Athletics in Action where he played Baseball in Europe.

  Coach Lufkin also holds a Master of Education degree from St. Mary’s University. He and his family reside in Rosemount.
